What are your rights regarding the processing of personal data?

In connection with your personal data, you have several rights. These include the right to access, review, delete and limit processing, transfer, object, and complain.

Just as we have our rights and obligations regarding the processing of your personal data, you also have certain rights regarding the processing of your personal data. These rights include:

Right to Information

In simple terms, you have the right to know what data about you we collect, for what purposes and for how long, where we obtain your personal data from, to whom we disclose it, who else processes it besides us, and what your other rights regarding the processing of your personal data are. You can read all this in the document "Personal Data Protection on the Website www.ecoopedu.com". However, if you are still not entirely sure which personal data about you we collect, you can request confirmation from us whether we collect personal data about you, and if so, you have the right to be informed of this data. In accordance with the right to information, you can request a copy of the processed data from us.

Right to Rectification

If you notice that the personal data we hold about you is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to request that we correct or complete it as soon as possible.

Right to Erasure

In some cases, you have the right to have your personal data erased. We will delete your personal data as soon as possible if one of the following reasons is met: we no longer need your personal data for the purposes for which we processed them; you have withdrawn your consent to the processing of personal data, where your consent is necessary for the processing of data, and we do not have any other reason for further processing of this data; you have exercised your right to object to the processing of data (see below section Right to Object to Data Processing) for personal data we process based on our legitimate interest, and we find that we no longer have legitimate interests that would justify further processing of this data, or you believe that the processing of personal data we carry out is no longer in line with generally binding legal regulations.

Please be aware that even if one of the described reasons is met, it does not mean that all your personal data will be immediately deleted. However, these rights cannot be exercised if the processing of your personal data is still necessary to fulfill our legal obligations or to establish, execute, or defend our legal claims (see section Why Do We Process Personal Data and Why Are We Entitled to Do So?).

Right to Restrict Processing of Data

In some cases, in addition to the right to erasure, you can also exercise the right to restrict the processing of personal data. This right allows you to request that your personal data be specifically marked and excluded from any processing procedures in certain cases – in this case, the effect is temporary (and not permanent as with the right to erasure). We must restrict the processing of personal data: if you dispute the accuracy of personal data until we agree on which data is correct; if we process your personal data without appropriate legal basis (e.g., beyond the intended scope), and you prefer to restrict rather than delete such data (e.g., if you anticipate providing us with such data in the future); if we no longer need your personal data for the purposes described above, but you need them to establish, execute, or defend your legal claims, or if you object to the processing of data. The right to object is described in more detail below in the section Right to Object to Data Processing). During the consideration of your objection, we must restrict the processing of your personal data.

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to receive all your personal data that you have provided to us and that we process based on your consent (see section If you register with us on the Posvetovalnica za zdravnike portal) and based on contract performance. We will provide your personal data to you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. Simple data transfer is only possible for data that we process automatically in our electronic databases.

Right to Object to Data Processing

Based on reasons related to your specific situation, you have the right to object to the processing of personal data based on points (e) or (f) of Article 6(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and to object to the processing of data for direct marketing purposes (see section Why Do We Process Personal Data and Why Are We Entitled to Do So?). We will immediately cease processing your data for marketing activities; in other cases, we will do the same if we do not have legitimate reasons for processing that outweigh your rights or for enforcing legal claims.

Right to Complaint

Exercising the aforementioned rights does not affect your right to file a complaint with the relevant authority. You can exercise this right, in particular, if you believe that we process your personal data unjustifiably or in violation of generally binding legal regulations. You can file a complaint about the data processing we perform with the Information Commissioner at the address Zaloška cesta 59, 1000 Ljubljana.

How can you exercise certain rights?

Write to us at info@ecoopedu.com so that we can assist you with your request regarding the exercise of your rights regarding the processing of personal data.

We will fulfill your request as soon as possible, but certainly within one month. In exceptional cases, especially with more complex requests, we have the right to extend this period by two additional months. If such an extension is necessary, we will inform you of the reasons for it.
